Keele Named to 2022-23 CSC Academic All-District Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Sophomore center Sharaya Keele (Adams, Mass.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team was named to the 2022-23 Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). The CSC recognizes student-athletes nationwide for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be a sophomore or higher with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5. In addition, these student-athletes must also have played in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions throughout the season.

Academic All-District winners advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. In addition, first-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-March.

Keele has appeared in 22 games for the Falcons, averaging 1.2 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.

The women's basketball team continues its Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) playoff quest on Friday, Feb. 24, as the Falcons welcome the Saints of Emmanuel (Mass.) College to "The Nest". Tip-off is set for 7pm.
