NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Jakara Murray-Leach (Norwalk, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week on Monday.

Murray-Leach was instrumental during a 2-0 week for the Falcons. Albertus defeated the United States Coast Guard Academy, 83-77 on November 29 and followed that up with an 80-57 win over Colby-Sawyer College on the road in the team's GNAC opener.

In the win over Coast Guard, Murray-Leach scored a season-high 26 points to go with five rebounds and two steals.

Against Colby-Sawyer, Murray-Leach had a double-double with 24 points on 11-for-14 shooting and ten rebounds. It was her third double-double of the season.

This year, Murray-Leach is fifth in the GNAC at 18.4 points per game to go with 7.2 rebounds.
