
WESTON, Mass. — The Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team lost a 72-68 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) road game to Regis College on Saturday afternoon in the final seconds of the fourth quarter. Caitlyn Scott (White Plains, N.Y.) led the way with a team-high 29 points along with six rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Albertus took its lone lead of the first quarter in the opening minute as Jakara Murray-Leach (Norwalk, Conn.) made the opening bucket for the Falcons before Jordyn Striggles' responded with a three-pointer eight seconds later.
- Down 35-30 at halftime, Regis scored the first eight points of the third quarter, the last six by Madi Zancan, to pull ahead by three points. Halfway through the quarter, Scott netted back-to-back layups to bring the deficit within one, 39-40
- The Pride increased their advantage to six points at 49-43 on a three-pointer by Courtney Doherty, but the Falcons responded with eight unanswered points, including a three-pointer by Diamond White (Hamden, Conn.) to allow Albertus Magnus to retake the lead at 51-50 heading into the fourth quarter.
- Scott made a layup and a three-pointer to extend the Falcon lead to 56-50, but Zancan scored seven straight points over the next two minutes, and then Striggles answered a made jumper by Amanda Zdru (Stratford, Conn.) with her own made basket to put the Pride back on top, 59-58.
- Consecutive three-pointers by Zdru and Sarah Evangelista (West Haven, Conn.) gave Albertus Magnus a 68-67 lead with 29 seconds remaining, but Zancan converted a traditional three-point play on Regis' next possession to give the Pride the lead for good.
