Scott, White, Named To GNAC Weekly Honor Roll

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Caitlyn Scott (White Plains, N.Y.) and Diamond White (Hamden, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team were both named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honor Roll for their performances during the team's 2-0 week in conference play.

The Falcons, who are currently on a four-game winning streak and are undefeated in GNAC play, defeated Dean College, 89-77 on January 7 and Lasell University, 81-65 on January 11.

Scott averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and six assists per game while shooting 40 percent (4-for-10) from three. White averaged 19 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.5 steals and four assists per game while shooting 91.7 percent (11-for-12) from the free-throw line.

In the win over Dean, Scott scored 16 points with five assists, three rebounds and a steal. White scored 18 points - including 6-for-6 from the free-throw line - with five steals, five rebounds and four assists.

Against Lasell, Scott scored a game-high 21 points - including 3-for-6 from three - with eight rebounds seven assists and a steal. Scott, the school's third all-time leading scorer, eclipsed the 1,800 point mark in her career and currently has 1,806 points in her career. White scored 20 points with four steals, four assists and two rebounds and moved up to 12th all-time in program history in scoring. She currently sits at 1,224 points all-time.

The Falcons get back into action on Wednesday as they host Mitchell at 5:30 p.m. in The Nest in a GNAC matchup.
