NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Jakara Murray-Leach (Norwalk, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honor Roll for her performance during the week of Jan. 20-26.

During a 1-1 week for the Falcons, Murray-Leach averaged 19 points on 59.3 percent shooting with along with 7.5 rebounds per game.

In an 81-66 loss to Johnson and Wales on January 21, Murray-Leach secured a double-double with 21 points on 9-for-15 shooting - including 2-for-3 from three, with 10 rebounds.

In the team's 76-64 win at Rivier on January 25, Murray-Leach had 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting with five rebounds, a block and two steals.

This season, Murray-Leach is averaging 14.6 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. She also has seven double-doubles on the season.

The Falcons return to action on Wednesday as they host Elms at The Nest on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
