NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Albertus Magnus College hosted its 2024 Falcon Leader and Service Awards, which are presented annually to students that have impacted the college community through various involvement opportunities. Student-athletes were well represented at the ceremony, with six Falcons taking home awards.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Jakara Murray-Leach (Norwalk, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women’s basketball team was named the Great Northeast Athletic (GNAC) Defensive Player of the Year and named to the All-Conference Second Team, while teammates Caitlyn Scott (White Plains, N.Y.) was named to the first team and Diamond White (Hamden, Conn.), the third team. Sarah Evangelista (West Haven, Conn.) was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Justice Washington (Hamden, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team and Caitlyn Scott of the women's basketball team were both named to the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament team after their performances last week in the quarterfinals and semifinals.
Despite a trio of Falcons with double-figures, the No. 3 Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team fell to in-state rival No. 2 University of Saint Joseph's, 76-66, in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Semifinals on Thursday inside James A. Calhoun Gymnasium. Albertus finished its season with an overall record of 20-7 and 11-7 in the GNAC, while USJ continued its postseason run at 24-3 and 13-1.
