HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Less than a minute later, the Monarchs got on the board from Amanda Sokol to knot the game at 1-1.
  • In the second period, Martin added a second power play goal on the day as she and Walsh played a little give and go and Martin skated in to fire a shot past Packer to make it a 2-1 game at the 10:14 mark.
  • King's tied the game once again on a goal from Lucy Beal at the 13:49 mark as she went on a breakaway on her own and split two defenders and put one past Christmas Johnson (Winnipeg, Manitoba) to make it a 2-2 game.
  • With just 25 seconds remaining in the second period, Clark scored her sixth goal of the season as Martin fed a cross ice pass to Clark who was wide open in the faceoff circle and took a snapshot past Packer, putting Albertus up, 3-2.
  • At the 14:00 minute mark of the third period, Sawyer scored her third goal of the season as she took a rebound off a shot from Moira O'Brien (Wilbraham, Ma.) and stuffed it home for the final goal of the game.
