READING, Pa. - The Albertus Magnus College women's ice hockey team won its third straight game, defeating Alvernia, 2-1 on Friday evening on the road.
It is the first time in program history that the Falcons have won three straight games.
Tori Walsh (Marystown, Newfoundland) scored the game-winner 1:29 into the third period. Molly Martin (Buffalo, N.Y.) added a goal and Kayla Clark (Avon, Conn.) had two assists, while Gabrielle Dellacroce (Woodbridge, Conn.) had one.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Martin opened up the scoring into the game at the 14:26 mark on a power play in the first period. Martin received a pass from Dellacroce and ripped a slap shot that rattled around the post and crossbar and into the net for her team-leading 10th goal of the season. Christmas Johnson (Winnipeg, Manitoba) stopped all 12 shots she faced in the period.
- Alvernia evened the game at the 7:23 mark of the second period when Kathryn Palmer took the puck the length of the ice and took a shot between two defenders to make it a 1-1 game.
- In the third, Walsh trailed Clark on a 2-on-2 breakaway, received the pass and took a close-range shot at Golden Wolves goaltender, Juliana Rodgers and got it through to give the Falcons the 2-1 lead.
- Albertus would hold onto the lead until the final horn as Johnson stopped all 12 shots she faced in the period.
