HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons struck first in the opening period on the power play at the 5:15 mark as Tori Walsh backhanded a pass from just in front of the net out to Clark who spun around and fired a shot past Alvernia goaltender, JuJu Rodgers to make it a 1-0 game. Lofstock was also credited with an assist on the goal.
- Alvernia tied the game just over six minutes later as Khenzie Connick took a shot between both faceoff circles to knot the game at 1-1.
- Lofstock added her first goal on the power play at the 9:27 mark of the second period as she deflected in a shot from Gabriella Dellacroce (Woodbridge, Conn.) between the legs of Rodgers to give Albertus its second lead of the game. Molly Martin (Buffalo, N.Y.) also added an assist on the goal.
- Christmas Johnson (Winnipeg, Manitoba) kept the Falcons ahead, stopping all 18 shots she faced in the second period.
- Albertus maintained its lead through the bulk of the third period until a five-minute major at the 14:10 mark left Albertus a man down. The Golden Wolves capitalized twice, both via goals from Emma Hart. Hart tied the game at the 16:31 mark after deflecting in a shot from Julia Franklin. Just 72 seconds later, she scored again putting in a loose puck in front of the net for the eventual game-winner for Alvernia.
