The Albertus Magnus College defeated the Trailblazers of MCLA 15-13 Thursday afternoon in an exhibition at Celentano Field in New Haven, Conn.

Halle Altieri (Guilford, Conn.) led all scorers with an impressive 11 goals in the game. Altieri added one assist to the game to record 12 points for the contest. The other Falcon goalscorers included Ashley Guerrera (Watertown, Conn.) with two, and Meghan Loughman (Trumbull, Conn.) and Miranda Jassil (North Branford, Conn.) with one a piece.

Rebecca Pike led the scoring for the Trailblazers as she netted 6 of the 13 total goals.

Erika Blechert had yet another stellar game in between the pipes as she saved 15 balls. Alexandra David just edged out her counterpart by stopping 16 shots in goal for MCLA.

Albertus Magnus started the game with a solid 4-0 lead against the Trailblazers before a Kaitlyn Brown goal with 24:03 left in the first half. The 4-0 stint was the longest scoring streak of the game and the largest lead for the Falcons as the rest of the game proved to be very back and forth.

Although the Falcons never lost their lead, they never led by more than two goals for the entire second half as the Trailblazers would quickly respond to the Falcons attack with goals of their own.

Natalie Caney played dominant in the exhibition despite scoring just one goal and recording one assist. Caney scooped up a game high 11 ground balls and won five draw controls. Caney ran from end to end showing great efford throughout the contest.
