Women's Lacrosse Falls Short at Framingham State 12-5

The Albertus Magnus women's lacrosse team fell to Framingham State University 12-5 in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

With the loss, the Falcons fall to 1-10 on the year, while the Rams improved to 3-2.

The Rams opened up scoring in the second minute of play when Jessica Graham scored her first of two goals in the contest. Zoe Reilly led FSU with four goals and an assist, while Kimmy Foley added two goals.

The Rams scored five unanswered goals before Nikki Kern (Wallingford, Conn.) scored in the eighth minute of play.  The Rams took a 9-3 lead into the halftime break and then took an 11-3 lead after the break.

Jenny Luna (Brentwood, N.Y.) led the Falcons with a goal and two assists, while Kelly Kennedy (North Branford, Conn.), Miranda Jassil (North Branford, Conn.) and Fekianne Charles (Bridgeport, Conn.) each scored for the Falcons.

Maria Case (West Haven, Conn.) made four stops for the Falcons, while the Rams' Kelsey Morgan made nine saves.

The Falcons will head to Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
