New Haven, Conn. - Sophomore Courtney Cacace (Brookfield, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team netted a career-best eight goals as the Falcons topped Dean College, 18-6, in non-conference play on Tuesday evening at Celentano Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Over the first 14 minutes of play, Albertus Magnus controlled the flow of the game, outscoring the Bulldogs by an 8-1 edge before Makayla Fisher broke the visitors silence with an unassisted marker at the 13:02 mark. The Falcons would close out the first with a 6-1 run to take a commanding 14-3 lead at the half. Cacace led the Falcons in the opening 30 minutes with five goals while Alix Hughes (Trumbull, Conn.) netted four of her own.

Cacace opened the final 30 minutes of regulation with back-to-back goals pushing the Falcons' lead to 16-3 until three straight goals from Dean brought the score to within 10, 16-6. However, it wasn't enough for a rally as the Falcons took home the "W", 18-6.
