HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons and Bison traded scores early on in today's game, with Katherine Raposo (Warwick, R.I.) netting the first goal for AMC. With the score tied at one, Nichols retook the lead with back-to-back strikes to make it a 3-1 game with 4:55 remaining in the first. Alexandra Barrett (Northford, Conn.) ended the visitor's run at the 3:57 mark, but two more goals by the Bison sent Albertus into the second trailing 5-2.

Nichols kicked off the second quarter with a goal to make it a four-goal lead, 6-2, before AMC answered with a tally from Annamarie DeLucia (North Haven, Conn.), the first of her collegiate career. DeLucia sent a pass to the front of the net, but a fortunate deflection turned it into a shot as the ball rolled by the opposing keeper for the goal. Unfortunately for Albertus, the Bison ended the half with two more goals to take an 8-3 lead into the break.

The Bison's stellar play continued into the third quarter, as the road squad scored eight consecutive goals in the half to build a 16-3 lead with 3:55 remaining in the game. Keegan Riccio (West Haven, Conn.) scored the game's final goal off an assist from Raposo to settle the final score at 16-4 Nichols.

In net, Chloe Oliver (Milford, Conn.) made 10 saves, one shy of her season-high.
