
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team battled the undefeated Chargers of Colby-Sawyer College tough Saturday afternoon, suffering a 17-7 home loss in Great Northeast Athletic (GNAC) play at Celentano Field.
Katherine Raposo (Warwick, R.I.) continued her torrid start to the year with a game-high four goals. Alexandra Barrett (Northford, Conn.) also had a stellar day with a goal and an assist, while Chloe Oliver (Milford, Conn.) tallied 18 saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After the first quarter, the Falcons trailed the Chargers, 3-2. Raposo and Keegan Riccio (West Haven, Conn.) found the back of the net for Albertus in the first 15 minutes to answer three Colby-Sawyer goals.
Ahead 3-2 after one quarter, the Chargers stepped up the pressure by winning the second by a 7-1 margin. Barrett broke up Colby-Sawyer's scoring run at the 2:01 mark. After their surge, the Chargers took a 10-3 cushion into the halftime break.
The Chargers widened their lead in the third quarter, winning the frame by a 4-1 margin to take a 14-4 advantage into the fourth. AMC's goal came from Raposo at the 2:32 mark.
The Falcons did not let the deficit deter itself, however, tying the fourth quarter's scoring with three goals apiece. Raposo netted two goals for AMC before a free-position goal by Amanda McGeehan (Milford, Conn.) settled the contest at 17-7.
