
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Moira O'Brien (Wilbraham, Mass.) notched her first goal this season for the Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team as the Falcons dropped an 18-1 contest against non-conference opponent Vermont State Castleton at Celentano Field on Tuesday.
Delaney Schlechtweg (Goshen, N.Y.) recorded an assist for the hosts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Castleton connected for 17 straight goals across four periods, including four from Phoebe Loomis and a trio by Renny Cota.
- O'Brien put the Falcons on the board with 3:49 remaining in regulation. After a saved shot by Alexys Signor (North Haven, Conn.), Schlechtweg kept the ball in bounds before launching it high to O'Brien, who came streaking through the crease for the goal over the head of the goalkeeper. Albertus set up the goal off a failed clear attempt by the Spartans and a caused turnover by O'Brien a minute prior.
- The visitors collected their last goal of the night with 58 seconds remaining as Cota notched her fourth goal.
