
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — The Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team fell 19-2 to Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) instate rival University of St. Joseph (Conn.) on Saturday.
Briony Retasket (Beaverton, Ore.) and Geena Montano (Wallingford, Conn.) both scored for the Falcons in the second quarter, while Delaney Schlechtweg (Goshen, N.Y.) recorded an assist.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- USJ netted six goals in the first quarter and three in the first four minutes of the second before back-to-back tallies by the Falcons. After a foul by the Blue Jays, Retasket reset the offense before tracing left of the scoring zone then drove to the net for an over-the-shoulder goal at 9:42 in the second period. Just over two minutes later, off another foul by the hosts, Schlechtweg made a pass from just beyond the attack area to G. Montano, who connected with the twine as she went down to the ground on a waved-off foul.
- Three more goals by the home team rounded out the second quarter for the 12-2 Blue Jays' edge.
- USJ recorded seven tallies across the final two quarters, including two by Kaylynn Lapointe and a pair from Alana Picard.
