Longmeadow, MA - On Wednesday afternoon, the Lady Falcons struck early with the first goal and eventual game winning shot in just the second minute of action when junior midfielder  Ashley Velazquez (New Haven, CT) netted an unassisted goal.  Bay Path was unable to handle the scoring frenzy of Albertus Magnus notching three more goals in the first half. Junior forward Sam Gigliotti (Wilton, CT) scored her third goal of the season in the 6^th minute of play off a cross inside the box by freshman defender Danielle Figueroa (Bridgeport, Conn.).  Sophomore forward Krystal Quinones (Bridgeport, CT) tallied the next two goals for the Falcons. Figueroa later recorded an assist along with sophomore forward Sarah Boudreau (Pascoag, RI). Quinones netted the third goals at the 12^th minute, while converting the fourth off a beautifully played corner from Boudreau in the 27^th minute of play.  In the last two minutes of the half, junior midfielder Jenna Riccio (Northford, CT) found the back of the net off a cross by sophomore midfielder Brittney Geremia (North Branford, CT) from 20 yards back.  Albertus Magnus' bench contributed significant minutes with key reservist freshman midfielder Alicea Aldrich's (West Haven, Conn.)  hatrick.  Scoring her first collegiate goal, Aldrich followed up by scoringthe Falcon's sixth and seventh goal of the game. At the 63^rd minute Aldrich drove the ball from midfield past two defenders to score her first unassisted goal. Five minutes later, Aldrich again sliced one past the keeper off a cross from senior forward Leanna Weisslender (New Haven, CT).  At the 79^th minute, Weisslender notched the final goal of the game off another assist by Boudreau. Bay Path senior keeper Samantha Gunseth (Swanzey, N.H.) had eight saves for Bay Path.  Albertus improves to 2-0, 0-0 GNAC while Bay Path drops to 0-1 on the season.  The Falcons host GNAC opponent St. Joe's (ME) on Saturday with a 1:00 PM kick-off.
