The Albertus Magnus women's soccer team dropped a 5-1 decision at Norwich on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play.
After Norwich scored goals in the 11th and 14th minutes to give the Cadets a 2-0 lead heading into the halftime break, Albertus (7-3, 5-2, GNAC) scored its lone goal of the contest in the 50th minute. Amanda Roke drilled a free kick from 19 yards out for her team-leading fourth goal of the season.
Norwich answered back with three goals of its own to extend its lead to 5-1 for the GNAC match win. The Cadets were led by two goals from Brittany Casey as Norwich earned its fifth-straight victory.
Albertus Magnus goalkeeper Christina Dineson took the loss for the Falcons after making eight saves on 13 shots on net. Norwich outshot Albertus 17-11.
The Falcons will next travel to Suffolk on Wednesday, Oct. 5 for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
