The Albertus Magnus women's soccer team will host its first-ever Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tournament game on Saturday, Oct. 29 as the Falcons welcome Simmons College to New Haven for a 1:00 p.m. contest.

The Falcons have been tagged as the tournament's third seed, the best ranking for Albertus in women's soccer history.

With an 11-5 overall record in 2011 and a 9-4 mark in GNAC play, the Falcons broke program records for wins in a single-season as well as conference wins.

Albertus enters the weekend after a 2-0 loss to Nichols College in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon. They are 4-2-0 in their last six games.

The Falcons are 0-4 in GNAC Tournament games dating back to 2005 when they made their first tournament appearance. They enter Saturday's match looking for their first-ever tournament victory.

Simmons enters the weekend 8-7-2, while posting a record of 7-4-2 in GNAC play. The Sharks are led by Ashley Wheeler, who was named ECAC Goalkeeper of the Week for her efforts last week as she led her team to two shutout victories.

Krystal Quinones (Bridgeport, Conn.) has three goals for six points this season as she stands in second place among Albertus' all-time goal scorers with 24 career goals.

Amanda Roke (Cheshire, Conn.) leads the Falcons with 13 points on six goals and one assist, while Sarah DiCenzo (Wallingford, Conn.) has dished out a team-best four assists.

Christina Dineson (Milford, Conn.) has allowed 12 goals in 12 matches played, while posting a goals against average of 1.00 as well as 58 saves.
