Danielle Figueroa (Bridgeport, Conn.) scored the game-tying goal in the 76th minute as the Albertus Magnus women's soccer team battled Emerson College to a 2-2 double-overtime tie on Saturday afternoon.

The Falcons led 1-0 at the break but two second-half goals gave the Lions a late advantage. Figueroa scored her first goal of the year on a breakaway as she used her speed to get free of defenders.

With the tie, the Falcons move to 4-1-1 on the year and 1-0-1 in league play as Emerson uses the tie to remain unbeaten on the year at 4-0-1.

Albertus took an early lead in the 16th minute as Dakotah Sobiech scored her first career goal as a Falcon. After a Shelley Mirmina shot hit the post, Sobiech was in the right place at the right time and drilled the ball into the back of the net.

After Intermission, Emerson tallied two goals in 10 minutes to take a 2-1 lead. Raina Odin scored the first for the Lions before Marissa Iamartino netted her goal in the 71st minute.

The Falcons got off just one shot in the first overtime but followed with six in the second overtime period. Albertus outshot the Lions 27-12 on the afternoon, including a 12-6 clip in the second half.

Christina Dineson (Milford, Conn.) made seven stops in net for the Falcons, while Emerson's Allie Altman tallied 15 saves.

The Falcons return to action on Monday as they travel to Mitchell College for a non-conference match-up set to begin at 4:00 p.m.
