In the second-straight contest, freshman Acacia Nelson (Bridgeport, Conn.) scored the game-winning goal to lift the Falcons to victory in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play. In Saturday's overtime thriller, Nelson finished on a header off of a corner kick by Shelley Mirmina (Milford, Conn.) in the 97^th minute of play as the Falcons defeated Johnson & Wales (R.I.) 2-1 in Providence, R.I.

The victory improves the Falcons overall record to 9-2-2 on the year and 5-1-2 in GNAC play as they have now won three-straight contests.

The Wildcats took a 1-0 lead in the 22^nd minute as Kayla Sypek tallied her eighth goal of the year. Despite being down 1-0 at the halftime break, the Falcons held a 9-4 shots advantage in the opening frame.

The Falcons came out in the second half and outshot the Wildcats 7-2 and controlled the tempo of the contest. Junior Meaghan Skidmore (Terryville, Conn.) tied the game with her third goal of the season in the 61^st minute to force the game into overtime.

Nelson didn't make the Falcons wait long in overtime to net her second game winner of the year to give the Falcons their fifth conference victory of the season. For Mirmina, her assist on the game-winning goal marked her second of the season as she leads the Falcons with 16 points on the year.

The Falcons outshot the Wildcats 5-0 in the overtime period and finished the night with a 21-6 advantage.

Albertus goalkeeper Christina Dineson (Milford, Conn.) recorded three saves on the afternoon, while JWU's Alexa Rose made eight stops in net for the home team.

Albertus will return to New Haven on Monday afternoon to host Suffolk in GNAC play beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Celentano Field.
