The Albertus Magnus women's soccer team played Connecticut College to a scoreless draw on Tuesday afternoon in New Haven, Conn. as the Falcons' overall record moves to 4-1-2 on the year with the non-conference tie.

Sophomore Maria Case (West Haven, Conn.) played all 90 minutes in net for the Falcons as she registered six saves in her third shutout of the season.  With her six saves, she now has 52 in her career.

Heading into the halftime break, Conn College held a 4-2 shots edge on the Falcons before finishing the game with a 14-8 advantage.

Shelley Mirmina (Milford, Conn.) led the Falcons with three shots on goal, while both Meghan Loughman (Trumbull, Conn.) tallied two total shots.

Conn College was led by three shots from Lily Cannon.  Natalie Signor earned the start for the Camels and played the entire first half without allowing a goal, while tallying one save.  Bella Hall came into the game in the second half to pick up four saves in the combined shutout effort.

Conn College also held a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.

The Camels had one of their best scoring opportunities of the game in the 50th minute when Astrid Kempainen sent a free kick high over the net after a called foul on the Falcons.

With less than 20 minutes to go in the contest, Mirmina was set up for a free kick after a Conn College foul but her shot attempt from 30-yards out was scooped up by Hall in the box.  Two minutes later, Albertus sophomore Acacia Nelson (Bridgeport, Conn.) intercepted the ball and dribbled into the box 1-on-6 before her right-foot shot attempt was also picked up by the hands of Hall.

The Camels had another good look off of a corner with less than 11 minutes on the clock as Leah Salituro's header off of a corner sailed over the crossbar.

The Falcons will host their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game of the season on Saturday when they are visited by the Lasell College Lasers.  That contest is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.  Conn College (1-1-1) returns to action on Saturday when they play in an 11:00 a.m. contest versus Hamilton.
