NSCAA Release

Led by head coach Nick Wajnowski '06, Albertus Magnus College is one of 125 Division III women's soccer programs to be named a 2014 NSCAA Ethics/Sportsmanship Award Winner as the Falcons' earned the NSCAA's Silver Team Ethics Award for the third-straight year.

The annual award winners are divided into three teams, Gold, Silver, and Bronze, which recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the laws of the game as reflected by the number of cautions throughout the season.

The Falcons' claimed the Silver Award, which is given to teams that accumulate no red cards and less than five yellow cards throughout the season. The Gold honor is given to teams for completing the entire season without receiving either a yellow or red card, while Bronze is presented to teams that receive no red cards and less than 10 yellows.

Albertus was one of 77 teams that received the Silver Award at the Division III level, while just eight programs earned Gold recognition.

Albertus was also the only Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's soccer team to earn the recognition.

The Falcons finished the 2014 season with an 11-8-1 overall record and made their sixth-consecutive Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) postseason appearance.
