HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons got on the scoreboard first with a goal in the 12th minute. Sophomore Haley Andrews (Prospect, Conn.) possessed the ball in the middle of the pitch, 30 yards from goal. She ripped a shot into the upper left corner of the goal that was unsavable.

Colby-Sawyer found an equalizer in the 78th minute when Albertus was whistled for a hand ball in the box leading to an indirect kick from just outside of the 6-yard box.

With less than 10 minutes to play, the Chargers turned up the pressure, which led to a few chances to take the lead. However, solid defensive work by Cassidy Scofield (Shelton, Conn.) kept the score evened at one.

The game-winning play was set up by Leah Dupuis who found Sydney Jimmo at the top of the 18-yard box. Jimmo then struck the ball into the far-right side of the goal to send the Chargers home with a victory.
