Andrews Earns United Soccer Coaches All-Region Honors

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Albertus Magnus College women's soccer standout Haley Andrews (Prospect, Conn.) was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third Team as announced on Tuesday morning. Andrews was also one of the six Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) players to earn regional recognition this fall.

Andrews becomes the sixth player in program history to earn All-Region distinction and the first since Angelina Piccirillo picked up regional honors in 2016. Along with Piccirillo, Andrews also joins program standouts Danielle Polvan, Shelley Mirmina, Shannon Skidmore, and Samantha Farley.

"Haley is our sixth women's soccer player to earn all-region honors", said head coach Nick Wajnowski. "She is an all-time player here for us and with a fifth-year, she could own all of our offensive records. This is an individual honor but it takes 21 other teammates to make this happen. Congrats to Haley on being recognized as one of the top players in the Northeast"

Andrews finished the fall campaign ranking second on the team and eighth in the conference with 23 points behind nine goals and five assists. The senior from Prospect, Conn., earned her third consecutive All-Conference nod, being named Third Team in 2021, Second Team in 2019, and Third Team in 2018. She warmed up as the season progressed, scoring in seven of eight games from the end of September and through most of October, all of which were in GNAC play. Andrews netted game-winners against Emmanuel (Mass.) College, Dean College, and Norwich University.
