WINTHROP, Mass. – Freshman Amy Stevens (Lincoln. R.I.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team earned her third Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week honor, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Stevens continued to be a wall in goal for the Falcons this past week, as she tallied 15 saves and allowed just one goal to help the squad earn a pair of tightly-contested GNAC draws. The freshman began her week by making five stops in a 0-0 tie against University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) at home on Wednesday evening. Stevens capped her week off by posting 10 more saves against Saint Joseph's (Me.) College to help Albertus walk away with a 1-1 draw on Homecoming Saturday.
The Falcons return to the field on Wednesday, Oct. 19, with a GNAC road tilt against the Bulldogs of Dean College. Game time is set for 3 p.m. in Franklin, Mass.
