Ismaili Tabbed GNAC Player of the Week after Women's Soccer Quarterfinal Win

WINTHROP, Mass. – After guiding the Falcons to a win in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Quarterfinals, Albertus Magnus College women's soccer junior forward Erina Ismaili (Middlebury, Conn.) was named the GNAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week, as announced Monday evening.

Ismaili led the Falcons this past week with five points on two goals and one assist over two contests. The Middlebury, Conn., native opened the week with an assist against the league-leading Wildcats of Johnson & Wales (R.I.) University on Tuesday afternoon. Ismaili then posted the best performance of her career to lead No. 6 Albertus to a road win over No. 3 Emmanuel (Mass.) College in the GNAC Tournament Quarterfinals. Ismaili scored both goals for the Falcons in a 2-1 road victory, punching AMC's ticket to the Semifinals. Saturday's two-goal performance was the first of Ismaili's career.

Albertus Magnus women's soccer will play No. 2-ranked Lasell University in the GNAC Semifinals on Tuesday, Nov. 1. The second-round contest is slated to begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Lasers' Taylor Field in Newton, Mass.
