Women's Soccer Takes Down Elms In GNAC Clash

CHICOPEE, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team kept its hot play going, defeating Elms College, 3-1 in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match on Tuesday evening.

The Falcons are now 3-0-1 in their last four games.

Albertus trailed 1-0 early before getting goals from Erina Ismaili (Middlebury, Conn.), Addie Lamond (Bethlehem, Conn.) and Tyler Stocking (Middletown, Conn.).

With the win, the Falcons snapped a three-game Elms winning streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Blazers got on the board in the 18th minute on a goal from Emily Basua off a pass from Lindsey Jeffrey to go up 1-0.

  • Lamond knotted up the game with her second goal of the season in the 33rd minute, making it a 1-1 game, which would remain the score going into halftime.

  • Ismaili kept her torrid pace going, scoring her fourth goal in three games to give Albertus the 2-1 lead in the 53rd minute.

  • In the 64th minute, Stocking took a pass from Ejalam Bravo (New Britain, Conn.) and put home her second goal of the season for the final tally of the match.
