HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Falcons and Lasers played to a draw during the first 45 minutes as Albertus took nine shots with four on net. The Falcons best chance to score in the first half came on a 40 yard free kick from Addie Lamond (Bethlehem, Conn.) that was deflected by Lasell goalkeeper, Elizabeth DaSilva, but still headed towards the net until Alex Delaney of Lasell cleared the ball before it crossed the goal line.
  • The two goals came just 63 seconds apart in the second half. Vescera put the Falcons on the board with her fifth of the season in the 56th minute when a pass from Evie Tyrell (Vernon, Conn.) found Vescera sprinting down the right side. Vescera then took a shot from the top corner of the box and sent a shot over the head of DaSilva to put Albertus up, 1-0.
  • The lead was short-lived as Destani Alua-Rioux fed Camdyn LaMarre a pass between two defenders and LaMarre found the back of the net to tie the game.
