Women's Swimming & Diving Tabbed Ninth in GNAC Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll

WINTHROP, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College women's swimming & diving team was selected ninth in the 2022 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Pre-Championship Swimming & Diving Poll, which was announced by the league Friday morning.

After a one-year layoff due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the GNAC swimming & diving programs return to the Boston Sports Insitute in Wellesley, Mass., home of the 10-lane 2012 Olympic Trials Pool. The 3-day event begins Friday evening at 6:30 PM from Wellesley.

Roger Williams University took the top spot in the poll with 98 points and garnered eight of the possible 10 first-place votes. Simmons University followed close behind with 89 points and the final two first-place votes.

The University of New England, Regis (Mass.) College and Norwich University rounded out the top five with 72, 67, and 66 points, respectively.

Earning sixth on the ledger was Colby-Sawyer College with 52 points followed by the University of Saint Joseph (CT) with 41 points. Saint Joseph's College of Maine, Albertus Magnus College, and Elms College rounded out the list with 35 points, 18 points, and 12 points.
