NEW HAVEN, Conn. – In her inaugural season as the Albertus Magnus College men's and women's swimming and diving head coach, Tatiana St. Juste announced the programs' 2022-2023 schedules, the fourth varsity campaign for the women's program and the first for the men's team.
The Falcons will kickstart their 2022-23 season at the USJ Pentathlon, hosted by the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) on Friday, Oct. 21, at 5 p.m. at the Bruyette Natatorium in West Hartford, Conn. The Falcons will return to the water the following day for their home opener, a 1 p.m. clash against UMass-Dartmouth at the Cosgrove Marcus Messer Athletic Center Pool.
Albertus will have two weeks off before next challenging USJ and Saint Joseph's College Maine in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tri-meet at Bruyette Natatorium on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 1 p.m. Then, the Falcons will return to Bruyette Natatorium a week later for another league meet, this time challenging the Blue Jays, the Monks, and Colby-Sawyer College. Finally, Albertus will close out its November slate with a home dual-meet against Gordon College on Saturday, Nov. 19.
The blue-and-white will next travel to Wesleyan University on Dec. 2 to begin the two-day Connecticut Cup at the Webster Family Natatorium. Then, on Saturday, Dec. 10, AMC returns home for its last meet before the Christmas break against Elms College at 12 p.m.
Albertus will start the spring semester with an away meet at Gordon College on Jan. 21 at 12 p.m. inside the Bennett Center Natatorium before gearing up for the GNAC Championships. The GNACs will take place at the Boston Sports Institute in Wellesley, Mass., from February 3-5.
Following the GNACs, the Falcons will compete at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships on Thursday-Sunday, Feb. 16-19, pending any qualifiers from Albertus.
