Women's Swimming & Diving in Seventh Place after Day Two of GNAC's

Wellesley, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College women's swimming & diving team competed on day two of three at the 2023 Great Northeastern Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimming & Diving Championships at the Boston Sports Institute.

The Falcons finished day two in seventh place with 185 points. AMC sits ahead of Elms College, which has 44 points. Norwich University maintained its lead at the event with 508 points through day two.

DAY 2 FINAL RESULTS (2/4)

200-yard Medley Relay

50-Yard Freestyle

  • Gutierrez Gomez finished sixth in the event with a time of 26.20 seconds, earning 13 points. 
  • Estrada trailed closely behind, coming in seventh after posting a time of 26.99 seconds. 
  • Camila Gordillo (Naugatuck, Conn.) placed 16th with a time of 31.33 seconds.

Women 100-Yard IM

  • Estrada finished fifth in the final with a time of 1:08.22, earning 14 points for the Falcons.

NOTEWORTHY

  • Estrada finished day two, recording two personal records in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard IM.

The women's swimming & diving team wraps up the 2023 GNAC Championships tomorrow morning. Prelims begin at 10:00 a.m. inside the Boston Sports Institute in Wellesley, Mass.
