WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College swimming team kicked off its season on Friday at the Blue Jay Pentathlon on the campus of the University of Saint Joseph.
Malachi Blatchley had a strong showing in the 50-yard butterfly, finishing in sixth with a time of 26.70. Blatchley also finished 14th in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.66.
Also ending the day with three top-ten finishes of the day was Maria Estrada who finished tied for ninth in the women's 50-yard butterfly with a time of 29.76 and a sixth-place finish in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 36.72. She also finished tenth in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:09.68.
