STANDISH, Me. - The Albertus Magnus College men's and women's swimming teams competed in a tri-meet against Saint Joseph (Me.) and the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.)

On the men's side, Saint Joseph (Me.) defeated Albertus, 56-36, while the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) defeated Albertus, 51-48.

Malachi Blatchley highlighted the men's side winning the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:02.92, 27 seconds ahead of second place. He also finished second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 59.31 and second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.49. Wylan Jacheo won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:01.39.

On the women's side, Albertus fell to USJ, 109-61 and to Saint Joseph (Me.) 145-35. Sophie Olander (Amston, Conn.) finished in third in the 1,000-yard freestyle. Maria Estrada (Guatemala City, Guatemala) finished in second in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:09.14 and fourth in the 100 yard freestyle at 1:04.23.

 The team of Olivia Rocheleau (Hamilton, Ohio), Chloe Oliver (Milford, Conn.), Olander and Estrada had a time of 4:24.85 and finished second.
