SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Maria Estrada (Guatemala City, Guatemala) and Sophie Olander (Amston, Conn.) each collect a pair of first-place finishes for the Albertus Magnus College women's swimming & diving team. The Falcons fell to Western New England University, 131-57, on Saturday.
Estrada came in first in the 50-yard breastroke (38.23) and the 50-yard freestyle (29.18), while Olander finishes first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:22.21).
Olander recorded a career-best time of 1:16.08 in the 100-yard backstroke for the top spot, while Emily Morales (Southington, Conn.) swam a personal record time with a time of 1:18.35 to finish second. Morales also earned a PR in the 50-yard breastroke with a time of 38.23 for a third place finish and placed fourth in the 100-yard IM for a career best time of 1:24.03. Nicole Irizarry (New Haven, Conn.) finished with personal best in the 100-yard IM with a time of 1:28.96.
