
WORCESTER, Mass. — Newcomer Silvia Valeria Avila Estrada (Zapopan, Mexico) closed out the three-day Great Northeast Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships on Sunday with four total medals for the Albertus Magnus College women's swimming & diving team hosted by WPI. Avila Estrada earned first-place in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:11.03), 200 yard breaststroke (2:34.69) and 400 yard medlay (4:51.72). She also took home the silver in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 55.94.
Avila Estrada earned seven total medals this weekend, including six gold and one silver.
Albertus finished the GNAC Championships with 233 points to place seventh, while Norwich University (917), Simmons University (810) and Regis College (500) rounded out the top three.
