Winthrop, Mass. - Freshman Jessica Coughlin (Durham, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's tennis team has been tabbed as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias Rookie of the Week on Tuesday afternoon, as announced by the league office.

Coughlin won both her singles and doubles matches in her collegiate debut against Lehman College. The duo of Coughlin and Izzy Sabino (Cheshire, Conn.) started things off for the Falcons on Saturday with an 8-0 shutout in No. 2 doubles. Coughlin also put up a strong effort in No. 2 singles, defeating her opponent 6-4 and 7-5.

The Falcons return to action this week against the University of New Haven and Sarah Lawrence.
