Winthrop, Mass. – The Albertus Magnus College women's tennis team was picked to finish eighth in the 2018 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Preseason Poll. The poll, which was released on Monday afternoon, is voted on by the league's eight head coaches.

The Falcons earned eight points to finish just eight points behind seventh-place Saint Joseph's (Conn.). Colby-Sawyer, which officially became the GNAC's newest full core member, received 57 points and four of the possible eight-first place votes to take the top spot in the ledger.

Johnson & Wales finished second in the poll with 56 points and one first-place vote after claiming the GNAC Championship last fall. Simmons rounded out the top-three spots with three first-place votes and 49 points overall.

Regis (Mass.) took the fourth position in the voting with 39 points, while Eastern Nazarene and Suffolk claimed fifth and sixth place with 32 and 31 points, respectively.
