New Haven, CT -  The Albertus Magnus College Women's Volleyball Team was defeated 3-0 and 3-1 in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference Trimatch today.  The first match featured host Albertus Magnus versus Emerson College.  The Lady Falcons dropped the match 3-0 with scores of 25-8, 25-3, and 25-19 respectively. 

The second match featured Emerson College versus Suffolk University.  Emerson proved to be too much for the Rams as they won the match and swept the day with a 3-0 victory and scores of 25-10, 25-17, and 25-13.

The third and final match of the day featured Albertus Magnus versus Suffolk.  The Lady Falcons found themselves trailing 18-11 when a timeout was called.  Albertus responded with a 25-23 victory in game one.  The second game was taken by Suffolk 25-18 as unforced errors proved costly for the Lady Falcons.  Suffolk would go on to take the match 3-1 as they won games three and four 25-17 and 25-19. 

Albertus was led by freshman outside hitter Melissa Manning (Milford, CT) who had 13 digs and five service aces on the day.  The Lady Falcons drop to 0-6, 0-2 GNAC as they host GNAC opponent Lasell College Saturday at 1:00 pm.
