Northfield, VT - The Albertus Magnus College Women's Volleyball team dropped both games of a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tri-match against Norwich University and Rivier College on Saturday afternoon.  In the opening match, Norwich posted a 3-0 victory over the Falcons (25-12, 25-17, 25-8) while Rivier College defeated the Falcons 3-0 (25-9, 25-12, 26-24).

The Falcons struggled to find their rhythm in the opening match but were led by sophomore outside hitter Krista LaBissioniere (Meriden, CT/OH Platt) and her team high three kills and four digs.

The second match featured an exciting third game that saw the Falcons battle to teh very end dropping a hardfought 26-24 third game.  Junior outside hitter Elizabeth Williams (West Haven, CT/Hyde Leadership) led the way with a team high eight kills while junior outside hitter Tiffany Ortiz (New Haven, CT/Wilbur Cross) chipped in 11 digs.

Albertus drops to 0-10, 0-6 GNAC and travels to New London, CT to take on Mitchell College at 7:00 pm.  The Falcons dropped a five game match (25-22, 22-25, 25-18, 24-26, 13-15) at home on September 8 and look to avenge that loss.
