Melissa Manning (Milford, Conn.) recorded 11 kills, while Leanna Velez (Waterbury, Conn.) dished out 21 assists as the Albertus Magnus women's volleyball team defeated Becker 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-17) on Saturday afternoon.

The Falcons (2-12) recorded 28 kills in the match as well as 53 digs as the Hawks (3-15) hit -.049 on the afternoon.

Despite only seven kills in 33 attempts in set one, the Falcons registered a 25-18 victory before cruising to victory in the following two sets.

Albertus recorded 10 kills in the second set and 11 in the third, led by both Manning and Tiffany Ortiz (New Haven, Conn.). Ortiz finished the match with six kills, while adding four service aces.

Krista LaBissioniere (Meriden, Conn.) led the Falcons with 20 digs, while Nicole Acerra (East Haven, Conn.) added 14.

Albertus held Becker's power hitters to a combined nine kills in 39 attempts as Jacqueline Chila tallied four kills and Nicole Morse recorded five.

Elizabeth Williams (West Haven, Conn.) recorded two solo blocks and one block assist in the contest, while picking up five kills for the Falcons.
