The Albertus Magnus (7-4) women's volleyball team stretched their winning streak to six games in a row after defeating Bay Path College (1-11) in three sets (25-8, 25-12, 25-12) Sunday morning at the Cosgrove Marcus Messer Athletic Center in New Haven, Connecticut.

The Falcons dominating play was led by senior Lily Dy (Torrington, Conn.) as she assisted on 20 of the team's kills. Dy also added two kills and two digs to her day.

Albertus Magnus took the first set 25-8 after a major run from the service of Amy Seliga (East Haven, Conn.). Seliga had nine consecutive points as the Falcons made a 12-6 lead open up to a 21-6 lead. Within the 9-0 run, Seliga had two service aces.

The start of the second set did not prove to be as dictating for the falcons as the scoring went back and forth. The set started as a slim 6-5 advantage for Albertus Magnus. However, the Falcons backed up a 4-0 run with another 5-0 run. These two stints increased the Falcons' lead from 16-9 to 23-11. Bay Path's Kacie Bayreuther did not make things easy for the Falcons with seven digs out of her total 13 in just the second set.

The third set was just as controlling for the Falcons as they won the final set 25-12. The Falcons opened up the set with a 5-0 run aided by the service of Dy. The third set was again dominated by Dy, dishing out eight assists. Freshman standout Caitlin Prete (Milford, Conn.) connected on four of these assists as she had four kills on all four attempts. Prete led all players with 11 kills on 19 attempts.

The Falcons look to increase their winning streak to seven as they take on CCNY at 3:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon at the Cosgrove Marcus Messer Athletic Center in New Haven, Connecticut.
