This week the Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team is on the road against SUNY Purchase on Tuesday before returning home on Saturday to host a GNAC tri-meet with Anna Maria and Suffolk.

Game 12 Highlights:
- Senior Nicole Beard (Shelton, Conn.) and freshman Genesis Cora Luquis (Meriden, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team recorded a double-double apiece as the Falcons swept SUNY Old Westbury.
- Senior Ana Gomez (New Haven, Conn.) led the defensive attack for the visitors with seven blocks.

Game 13 Highlights:
- Senior Delaney Ruiz led the charge for the visitors with a team-high four kills to go along with five digs.
- In the middle, senior Nicole Beard (Shelton, Conn.) paced the Falcons with seven assists and eight digs.

Game 14 Highlights:
- Freshman Kimberly Keller (Bridgeport, Conn.) posted a team-high four kills as well as posted a .300 hitting percentage.

The Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team was picked to finish 13th in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Preseason Poll.
A QUICK LOOK BACK AT LAST YEAR
- The women's volleyball team ended the 2016 fall season with a 7-20 overall record and landed in 12th-place in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) with a 0-11 mark in league action.
- Head Coach Vanessa Rosario guided the Falcons to non-conference wins against York, Elms, Purchase State, Medgar Evers and CCNY.
- Albertus Magnus swept the season series with York and Medgar Evers, defeating both the Cardinals and Cougars twice during the autumn.
- The team also won back-to-back matches on two separate occasions in 2016.
- Albertus Magnus opened the year with two straight wins at the Blazer Invitational hosted by Elms.
UP NEXT
The Falcons return to action next week against New Jersey City, Lasell and Johnson & Wales.
