NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team suffered a grueling five-set home setback to the Golden Eagles of Saint Joseph (LI) College on Thursday evening inside "The Nest" at the Cosgrove Marcus Messer Athletic Center.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

The Golden Eagles went ahead one set to zero behind a .323 attack percentage in the opening frame.
Albertus answered by taking the second set, 25-22, with a .111 to .088 advantage in attack percentage.
The Falcons hit their peak in the third set, hitting to the tune of .217 to win the frame convincingly, 25-15.
Unfortunately for the home squad, the Golden Eagles began to rally, taking the fourth and fifth sets to steal the match.
Elayna Beutel (Prospect, Conn.) continued her torrid start to the season with a season-high 13 kills on a team-leading .381 kill percentage.
Diana Kalman (East Haven, Conn.) and Ivanna Sanfeliz (Dorado, Puerto Rico) both finished with seven kills.
Freshman Rachael Pellegrini (Clinton, Conn.) dished out a season-high 23 assists on the team's 33 kills.
Joismar Avilés (Hatillo, Puerto Rico) finished with a team-high 11 digs.
Kalman and Sanfeliz each had four blocks.
