KEY HIGHLIGHTS

Albertus and JWU battled through three ties to open set one before a kill from Amanda Koch sparked a 10-2 run that put the hosts up 13-5, forcing Albertus to call a timeout to regroup. Following the short break, JWU resumed its run and pushed its lead to 12, 17-5, until a bad set from Emily Corbett ended the rally, giving the Falcons a chance to chip away at the Wildcats lead. However, Albertus was unable to get its offense going and fell in set one, 25-10.

Johnson & Wales didn't hold back in set two as the hosts took an early 5-1 lead. Despite a kill from Elayna Beutel (Prospect, Conn.) (2-5) and a service error (3-8) from the Wildcats, Albertus saw their deficit grow to double digits and headed into the final set trailing 2-0.

The third set was similar to the first as both teams battled through three ties before JWU took over offensively. The Falcons kept within arms reach of the hosts for a few rallies, but the Wildcats proved to be too much and defeated the visitors 25-14 to claim the final set and match, 3-0.
