NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team split a pair of contests in a home tri-match on Saturday afternoon inside the Cosgrove Marcus Messer Athletic Center.

The Falcons defeated the Purchase College Panthers 3-0 for their first win of the young season before losing the nightcap to the Fisher College Falcons, 3-0.

• Fisher got on the board first, taking the opening set, 25-12.
• AMC battled back in the second but still fell by a 25-16 final score.
• The third set was a thriller, with both teams trading the lead. Unfortunately for Albertus, Fisher came out on top of the exciting 27-25 set.
• Elizabeth Lynch (Stratford, Conn.) was on fire in the nightcap, tallying six kills, three aces, and three blocks.
• Kalman came close to her second double-double of the year by tallying eight kills and eight digs.
