LONGMEADOW, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team lost a 3-0 match to Bay Path College on Thursday evening in a non-conference match.

HIGHLIGHTS
After securing the first point in set one, Bay Path scored the next six points, including three aces by Lilly Kibbe to stake the Wildcats to a 6-1 lead. Bay Path would lead by as much as 10-4 until a 9-3 run by the Falcons, including an ace from Rachael Pellegrini (Clinton, Conn.) and a kill from Shalese Gordon (Bridgeport, Conn.) tied the match up, 13-13. However, the Wildcats finished the set with a 12-1 run of their own, including 11 straight points to take a 10 match lead. Anastasiya Tsetsko had two kills during the final run for Bay Path.
Once again in set two, the Falcons scored the first point until Bay Path blizted them with a 10-2 run to take a seven point lead, led by two kills from Victoria Burkovskiy. Albertus got within in four points, the last time at 13-9 on a kill from Kanishjoary Marrero-Martinez (Schenectady, N.Y.). Bay Path ran away with the set, scoring 12 of the last 17 points. Marrero-Martinez had four kills in the second set to pace Albertus.
Marrero-Martinez and Paula Matheus (Tunja-Boyaca, Colombia) led the Falcons to a 7-2 lead to open up the third set as they both had two kills early on along with one from Gordon. The Falcons kept the Wildcats at bay for a bit until a 13-8 Albertus lead turned into a 16-14 lead for Bay Path. The Falcons never led again as the Wildcats took set three and the match.
