NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Majo Pelaez (Armenia, Colombia) was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week after her performance in three matches over the last week. Teammate Shalese Gordon (Bridgeport, Conn.) was named to the Weekly Honor Roll.

Pelaez averaged 4.50 kills and 3.20 digs per set while hitting at a .233 rate in three matches.

Pelaez had double-digit kills in all three matches this week, including 21 in a four-set match against New England. She also had two double-doubles on the week, including ten digs against NEC and 12 kills and 14 digs against Saint Joseph (Me.) in a three-set match.

This season Pelaez is currently fifth in the GNAC at 3.15 kills per set and 11th in total kills at 192.

Gordon also had another solid week as a setter, dishing out 7.20 assists per set while averaging 2.8 digs per set. She had 32 assists against New England College and 21 assists against the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) in a three-set match on October 18.
