2013-14 GNAC All-Academic Team Announced
June 04, 2014The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced the All-Academic Team for the 2013-14 school year. This year, 58 student-athletes from Albertus Magnus College were among the 765 members of the Academic Team from 12 full-time institutions and 13 associate member institutions in the conference.

April 03, 2014The Albertus Magnus men’s volleyball team improved to 11-10 on the year with a 3-0 blanking of Anna Maria College on Thursday night in Paxton, Mass. The Falcons won three-straight sets by scores of 25-14, 25-22, and 25-19 to secure their fifth Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match victory of the season.

April 01, 2014Seniors Brendan Charamut (Southington, Conn.) and Douglas DeSousa (Danbury, Conn.) led the Albertus Magnus men’s volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-17, 29-27, 25-13) shutout of Anna Maria College on Tuesday night in the Falcons’ last regular-season home match of the season.

March 30, 2014The Albertus Magnus men’s volleyball team split a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matches on Sunday at Mount Ida College. The Falcons came from behind to defeat Mount Ida 3-1 before falling to Wentworth 3-0 in their second match of the day.

March 27, 2014Johnson & Wales came from behind to win three-straight sets to take a 3-1 victory over the Albertus Magnus men’s volleyball team on Thursday night in New Haven, Conn. The Wildcats lost the first set 25-16 before securing the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory with set wins of 25-17, 25-19, and 25-19.

Jocelyn Lavandier Takes Over as Assistant Volleyball Coach
March 24, 2014Prior to the 2013-14 academic year, Jocelyn Lavandier was named the 2013 women's volleyball and 2014 men's volleyball assistant coach. Prior to taking the position of assistant coach, Lavandier served as a volunteer coach for three years with the women's volleyball team at Albertus Magnus.

March 23, 2014The Albertus Magnus men’s volleyball team fell to sixth-ranked Rivier 3-0 on Sunday afternoon. The Raiders won 25-15, 25-17, and 25-20 to improve to 9-0 in league play and 21-5 on the year. Albertus fell to 8-6 overall and 2-5 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play.

January 29, 2014In its 2014 season opener, the Albertus Magnus men's volleyball team earned a 3-1 non-conference victory over Mount St. Vincent College on Wednesday night. The Falcons won the first set 25-17 before being edged out in the second with a 23-25 score. They finished with a 25-17 third set showing and a 25-15 fourth-set victory.
