Directions to Ralph Walker Skating Rink

Through a unique partnership with the City of New Haven, the newly renovated Ralph Walker Skating Rink will be the home facility for the Albertus Magnus College men’s ice hockey team. 

The rink is located off of State Street and on the southern end of Blake Field - a 10-acre city park in the East Rock neighborhood.

In addition to bringing the first Division III hockey program to the greater New Haven area, the partnership will offer Learn to Skate/Youth Hockey opportunities for New Haven children and will help bring back a beloved community resource, the Ralph Walker Skating Rink, notable for its unique open-air design.

The rink closed in 2016 for renovations and reopened in 2019. The upgraded facility includes a new ice sheet and chiller plant, among other features that follow National Hockey League specifications for ice rinks.
